The International University of the Caribbean (IUC), founded by the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands in 2005, offers a wide range of full and part-time undergraduate and post graduated programmes. Undergraduate programmes are offered Monday Through Friday and post-graduate programmes generally Friday through Sunday, once monthly.
In addition to the main campus in Kingston, 47 Old Hope Road, there are over 16 Regional centres scattered over the length and breadth of the country. Courses offered include, but not restricted to Community Development, Business Administration, Programme & Project Management, Transformational Leadership, HR Management, Media Communications, Guidance & Counselling, Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Nursing, Theology, General Studies, Hospitality Management and Engineering Technology.
IUC Tech, the “technical” arm of the university was opened in 2013, geared to 'challenging and shaping Jamaica through Technic al and Skills based Excellence", offering courses in Healthcare Programmes, computer repair, construction drafting etc. and these are international accredited programmes.
IUC has also come to the market with a number of short certificate courses all geared to giving more affordable access to higher education
