July 2, 2012 [Kingston, Jamaica] Jamaica Yellow Pages recently supported the 2nd Annual Junior Achievement Company of Entrepreneurs (JACE) Conference 2012 as a platinum sponsor under the theme “Innovation and Technology in which 80 JACE students from over 28 schools and community based organizations across the island participated.
The JACE Programme is aimed at building their skills in entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness and gives these students the hands on experience necessary to create and run their own business.

A step by step demonstration on the use of the JYP Mobile App was delivered and this cemented the importance of innovation and technology and how it has helped to shape their current business model as well as the various platforms in which they provide information to their users.

The conference, which was hosted at the Rex Nettleford Hall, UWI Campus, included a series of seminars and workshops conducted by market leaders from various industries. An Entrepreneurial Expo was held on the South Lawn of Devon House in which the students were able to showcase their newly formed companies to the panel of judges and general public. Jamaica Yellow Pages awarded the “Best Marketing Team”.
